Jiho Kang is a New York-based actor and singer-songwriter who regularly chemically processes his hair into fantasy colors. In 2017, he competed in the final season of MNET's Superstar K (Superstar K 2017) in Seoul, South Korea. Shortly after his stint on reality television, he worked as an analyst for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in Washington, D.C., writing songs and performing at D.C. nightlife venues in his spare time.
In 2018, he made his theatrical debut as LEX in the Lucille Lortel Award winning musical KPOP (Ars Nova, Ma-Yi Theatre, Woodshed Collective) at A.R.T. New York. Since then, Jiho made the shift to perform full time. He has already had the privilege of working with other amazing theatrical organizations such as Musical Theatre Factory, the National Alliance for Musical Theatre, and BMI. He made his television debut with a co-star on High Maintenance (HBO) in early 2019 and is excited to be a part of Mike Doyle's Sell By (2019).
Jiho's powered by Korean barbecue, fruit smoothies, and YouTube cooking tutorials. He graduated from Harvard University with a degree in Applied Mathematics and also enjoys tutoring college-bound students in mathematics, standardized tests, and expository writing.
