Jiho Kang is a New York-based actor, singer, and tutor who no longer dyes his hair in fantasy colors. In 2016, he competed in the final season of MNET's Superstar K (Superstar K 2016) in Seoul, South Korea. Shortly after his stint on reality television, he worked as an analyst for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in Washington, D.C., writing songs and performing at D.C. nightlife venues in his spare time.
In 2018, he made his theatrical debut as LEX in the Lucille Lortel Award winning musical KPOP (Ars Nova, Ma-Yi Theatre, Woodshed Collective) at A.R.T. New York. He continued to work on KPOP for several years after, and finally in 2022, he made his Broadway debut in KPOP (Circle in the Square Theatre), originating the role of LEX. He's worked regularly with organizations like Musical Theatre Factory, the National Alliance for Musical Theatre, Prospect Theatre Company, BMI, and NYU's Musical Theatre Department. Jiho's powered by cats, fruit smoothies, and gummy bears. He graduated with a degree in Applied Mathematics and also enjoys tutoring college-bound students in mathematics, standardized tests, and expository writing (see tutoring services tab for more!).
